We don’t have to talk about my pop punk or hardcore phases. I was young, but it made me who I am, and I’m only a little ashamed. Now that that’s out of the way, we can discuss an album that perfectly combines both pop, punk, and just the right dose of post-hardcore.
A Day to Remember was the emo group years ago, everybody knew “If It Means A Lot To You.” But as time went on, the band became more nostalgic. They long for life before they got famous, and their songs on Common Courtesy mostly reflect that feeling. It’s a great summer album, perfect for this time of year. And only a couple of the songs get heavy, so if that’s not your favorite style, you can skip them and not miss out on much of the record. Continue on below for some recommended songs!
