Thank you for reading the first ever issue of The Howl! The ultimate goal of this publication is to have weekly recommendations of movies, books, music, video games, podcasts, and more! This first issue is (hopefully) off to a rolling start with the following diversion suggestions. The plan is for me to be excited about what is shared here, and this initial collection is the perfect way to start that plan.

Below we have Moonlighter, a game which – while I’ve only spent a few hours in – I’ve quickly fallen for. The world, the music, the art and the entire game-play setup just works. One of my favorite albums I found in 2018, Go Farther In Lightness by Gang of Youths, is also listed this week. It’s a great experience all the way through, and I’ve listened to it almost nonstop lately. We also have The Last Wish: Introducing The Witcher, a book I finished recently. It’s a great introduction to the world of The Witcher books, games, and upcoming TV series.

Finally, we have two of my all-time favorite pieces: Watchmen, one of the top graphic novels of all time (according to TIME), and Nightcrawler, a Jake Gyllenhaal thriller that I watch at least once a year.

Thanks for being a part of the kick-off of The Howl! I hope you enjoyed the entertainment recommendations and the format below.
